Adaptive & Senior Farming Program

Connection ~ Growth ~ Happiness

Science proves it, and we’ve all felt it: animals make life better! Building connections with animals, whether one has a disability or not, improves physical, emotional, cognitive, and behavioural issues. Plus, it’s just plain fun!

Holly Hill Farm’s ‘Adaptive & Senior Farming Program’ welcomes people of all abilities and ages to join in on the learning and joy of being on a real working farm! This six-week program is open to adults with varying disabilities, including those in wheelchairs

The goal is to offer enjoyable recreation, opportunities for meaningful work, and encourage therapeutic bonds with our friendly farm animals. We invite guests to come spend time each week being a farmer: collecting eggs, feeding the horse, scratching the pig’s belly and snuggling some baby bunnies! If they’re feeling up to it, they can help out in the garden, carry out some barnyard chores, and take part in animal husbandry.

There are connections to be made, growth to blossom, and happiness to be discovered at Holly Hill Farm!

  • Our next session will run in the Spring! Stay tuned!

  • $90+GST (for six-week program)
