Holly Hill Farm’s ‘Homeschool Farming Program’ is held in our incredible outdoor classroom: a real working farm! For students ages 5 and up, our program allows children to immerse themselves in this educationally rich experience, gaining a deeper scientific and social understanding of agriculture, animal husbandry, and ecology.
The program is designed and ran by certified elementary teacher, Katie Denne, and focusses on social development, life-skills and developing compassion for the environment and each other. At each visit, the students will care for the multitude of friendly animals residing at Holly Hill Farm. They will also explore the stretching farmland and riparian areas, partake in hands-on activities and inquiry-based investigations, and enjoy uninstructed free-play.
Things to look forward too:
- baby bunny snuggles
- tractor rides
- uninstructed free play on our play structure
- exploration of our 16 acres
- seasonal activities such as frog egg hunting
- hands-on animal care
- old-fashioned outdoor games
