Kids on the Farm Program (6-13yrs):

We all want our children to have less screen time, more fresh air, and experience a rich childhood more in line with those of the past; and Holly Hill Farm is here to help! Our ‘Kids on the Farm’ program welcomes children to bond & learn about horses and a variety of friendly barnyard animals, as well as enjoy group games, ziplining through the trees, exploratory free play, petting farm fun, and more! They are able to delight in all the farm has to offer: while building mindfulness, emotional regulation and social fluency without even realizing it! So much fun is had exploring the acreage and enjoying seasonal activities like hunting for frog eggs, gardening, tractor rides, and observing sheep shearing! Ages: 6-13

Horsemanship 101 Program (Ages 6-14)

Good horsemanship begins with horses, and it is with a strong foundation that one can excel as a rider. A fun alternative to ‘riding lessons’, this program focuses on the fundamentals of horsemanship: from horse care & groundwork, to horse safety, practical skills, fun games, and grooming! Kids will spend the majority of their time with the horses, but there will always be time for baby bunny snuggles & petting farm fun too!! The children will learn to understand the horses’ secret language: how they communicate, how to read their behaviors, and how to honor their size, skills and temperament in order to build trust and establish control without creating fear. Although this is a non-riding program, children will enjoy lead-line pony rides.
